How does Barefoot Massage turn my vacation home into a spa?
We bring massage tables, sheets, oils and a small speaker system to provide relaxing music.
What do I need to prepare?
We need a 10' x 5' area in which to work. Media rooms, master suites and bunkrooms are ideal. Even a common area like the den or living room can be suitable; however please consider foot traffic and noise level when choosing this option. Also please choose a space where we will set up for the entire time of our visit as our schedule does not allow for extra break down and set up time between massages.
Can I receive my massage on the beach?
Due to zoning restrictions, we are not allowed to massage on the beach. Weather permitting a covered deck in a quiet area is also suitable. Consider the noise level around your house carefully before choosing this option.
Do I have to know what type of massage I want to make a reservation?
No with the exception of Hot Stone Massage, you can decide the day your massage is rendered which type you prefer remember there are differences in prices you may want to reference our services page for details. When making a reservation you are reserving the therapist’s time so therefore you must decide on the number of clients and each client must decide on the length of time they wish to reserve. Hot Stone is the only type of service you must confirm in advance due to the additional equipment that must be transported.
Is there a reservation fee like at many large spas?
No, however you are required to give a credit card to hold your reservation and will be used to cover the $25 cancellation fee if 48 hours notice is not given. Please see our whole cancellation policy for more details.
Is there a cancellation fee?
Our company has grown tremendously over the past three years and our therapist’s time is in great demand thanks to your loyal patronage. However it has become imperative that we have a cancellation policy so that we may optimize our time and productivity. As of April 1,2009 any partial or whole reservation canceling without 48 hours notice will be charged a flat $25.00 fee. This charge will be applied to the credit card given to hold the reservation even when it does not belong to the client or clients that cancelled. Thank you for your cooperation.
Is there a minimum amount of time for a reservation?
Yes, each reservation has a minimum of two hours per therapist per house call.
Is there a travel fee?
There is no extra travel fee within our delivery area of Nags Head, Kill Devil Hills,
Do you travel to the 4x4 area?
No. We can refer some therapists that do however please be aware they service large groups only (8 hours or more) and require an $80 travel fee.

I’ve never had a massage before which service would you suggest?
Swedish is a wonderful massage for beginners. It is flowing very relaxing and your therapist can use light to firm pressure depending on your tension level and personal preference.
Will I need to undress for a massage?
You may disrobe to your comfort level. For those clients who are not comfortable with any level of disrobing Reflexology is a wonderful option.
What are your hours and are you open all year?
Monday-Friday 9am-7pm
We are open year round during the off season Labor Day to Memorial Day we do work some Saturday and Sunday groups when booked far enough in advance.
